What is BO ID?

The BO ID is called a Beneficiary Owner Identification Number and it is a 16-digit number Demat account number given by the stockbroker or DP. 

What is the BO ID in CDSL?

BO id in CDSL is the 16 digits Demat account number of the customer who has a Demat account with the CDSL depository. The bo id or Beneficiary Owner Identification Number can be found in the profile section of the brokers with which one has opened the account or in your Demat account statement.

1. What is BO ID in Zerodha?

BO ID in Zerodha is the Demat account number of the customer. It is the 16 digit number provided by CDSL (the depository) at the time of account opening and is also known as the beneficiary owner identification number. An example is given below:

In this example,

• The first 8 digits are the DP id of Zerodha and it is the same for all Zerodha customers.
• The last 8 digits are a unique client ID provided by CDSL which is different for every customer.

Steps to get BO ID in Zerodha

1. First of all, log in to Zerodha Kite Website or Mobile App.
2. Click on the accounts section in the top right.
3. Click on the ‘Demat’ link
4. Check your DP ID, BO ID, and Demat account number there.

1. First of all, log in to 5Paisa Account.
2. Click on the face icon.
3. Click on the ‘Profile section and then My profile section.’
4. Click on the DP details section.
5. Check your DP ID, BO ID, and Demat account number there.
